The sophomore LP from New Zealand pop songstress Princess Chelsea opens with the kind of siren song that would lure unsuspecting sailors to a salty death. The beguiling innocence of the young starlet’s voice is on par with Muuchuu, with similarly glistening futuristic production forged somewhere in the depths of space. “Ain’t No Church On Sunday” stands out as an otherworldly anthem with an irresistible air of melancholy. A reservedly down-tempo affair, the record washes over you with graceful ease and an ebbing flow, punctuated with the odd soaring (if slightly misplaced) guitar solo.
