This, the third full length record, opens with an up-tempo immediacy that demonstrates he’s got more up his sleeves than the hazy, lazy delivery he’s known for. “Off Peak Dreams” brings to mind the kind of feel-good foot shuffler that Mike Skinner would’ve been proud of, whilst “Be Right Back, Moving House” has the subtle epicness of a collaboration between the XX and Scroobius Pip. A touching collection of soul-bearing material from an artist who’s far from finished.
