The international dance festival returns to the Barbican this year with an exhilarating programme of events across the centre!
Don’t miss this double bill comprised of not one but TWO UK premieres in dance in The Pit, as Stockholm-based Australian artist and Cullberg dancer Lilian Steiner presents Siren Dance, a mesmerising exploration of power and transformation, and Spanish dancer María del Mar Suárez (La Chachi) provides a playful take on the Taranto form in Random Taranto, a raw, electric flamenco duet.
In Les Arts Florissants & Amala Dianor Company, Amala Dianor’s choreography seamlessly blends classical, modern and hip hop movement, mirroring the contrast within the music. See six singers and four dancers unite past and present in this unique stage creation!
And, in the cinema, be inspired by a collection of short films programmed by International film curators HSEIH I-Hsuan and Emily Shin-Jie Lee with a focus on filmmakers from Taiwan with movement at their heart.
