St. Etienne – Alternative, Royal Festival Hall, Fri June 2

Promoting their upcoming ninth album, “Home Counties,” St. Etienne will bring their eclectic sound to the Royal Festival Hall in early June. With their last release, “Words and Music by St. Etienne” coming in 2012, this will be the first opportunity for fans to catch the three-piece in London since their Christmas tour in 2015.

Consisting of former music journalists Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs and lead singer Sarah Cracknell, St. Etienne are renowned for their immersive, but danceable sound, which draws on an incredibly diverse range of influences. At the cavernous, but still intimate-seeming (2,500 capacity) Royal Festival Hall, their expansive soundscapes will surely be realised to their full potential.

Tickets start from £22.50, and doors are at 7pm. The gig is for ages 14 and over.
