Last year’s “Requiem” (Sub Pop / Rocket Recordings) saw the masked Swedish psych-rock heroes add acoustic guitars, woodwind and birdsong to their fuzz-drenched tribal rhythms. Their newfound interest in folk experimentation only cements their legendary status, adding new textures to familiar heavy plains whilst keeping trance-inducing kraut rock influences and expansive jams at the top of the agenda.
