OK, wow! This E.P opens with a deceptively subtle acoustic guitar that sounds as if it were recorded on an old dusty four-track tape deck, but immediately those cobwebs are blown away with a smash of guitars that genuinely take you by surprise. Before long you’re swept away in a sea of ethereal My Bloody Valentine-esque grandeur. ‘Storms’ is awash with the same hard-hitting production that Trent Reznor himself would be proud of. All in all, a blistering sophomore E.P that pretty much has it all.
