One of the most valuable autographs in the UK is coming to Croydon!
Demand for JK Rowling’s signature has grown so much that she now refuses to sign her books except in extraordinary circumstances. Hers is the fourth most valuable autograph in the world after Fidel Castro, Paul McCartney and Prince William, according to memorabilia expert Paul Fraser
The average price for one of the Harry Potter author’s signed books is now a whopping £1,950! That’s an increase of 11 per cent from last year. And the good news is that it could be yours!
JK Rowling has given a rare signed copy of her book, The Casual Vacancy, to raise funds for the work of the Croydon Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society at their auction of celebrity memorabilia on Saturday 24th October at 11am in Christ Church, between 861 & 863 Brighton Road, Purley (opposite Rotary Field).
However, JK Rowling is not the only star to support the cause.
The auction will also feature signed items from David Walliams, Dr Who himself (Peter Capaldi), Phil Collins, Annie Lennox, a BBC Radio 4 Private Lives script signed by Helena Bonham Carter, tickets for West End show Matilda, signed memorabilia from West End show Les Misérables, and much more, including items from Arsenal FC and Crystal Palace FC.
The auction is open to everyone and admission is free.
Get involved to help this extremely worthy cause and bag yourself a potential slice of historic memorabilia in the process!
