Since releasing their first EP “A Guidance from Colour” in 2008, Twin Atlantic have steadily gained a strong reputation on the British alt-rock circuit. Undoubtedly, their peak (as-of-yet) came in 2014, as their third album “Great Divide” spawned multiple radio-friendly singles.
“Brothers and Sisters” was ubiquitous on BBC Radio 1 at the time of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. “Heart and Soul” meanwhile won “Best Independent Track” at the Independent Music awards. Follow-up “GLA” – was similarly hyped, and the Scottish band saw their lead single “No Sleep” premiered by Annie Mac as The Hottest Record in the World on June 3 2016.
When Twin Atlantic play at Electric Brixton then, you should expect to see a band at the top of their game. Lead by Sam McTrusty, the Glasgow-born band owe much of their fame to their frantic live shows, which cemented them a dedicated following before their arrival in the Radio 1 mainstream from 2014-onwards.
“GLA,” released in September last year, has an abundance of tracks that will slot well into their frenetic performance, and we’re certain that “No Sleep,” and second single “The Chaser” will seamlessly complement fan favourites such as “Edit Me.”
Throughout their 2017 tour Twin Atlantic are understudied by Darlia and The Pale White, two bands with similarly anthemic sensibilities. Whilst both are yet to release long plays, they have been making waves in their own right, and you should make sure you don’t miss out on the early sets.

Tickets start from £22, with doors at 7pm. The gig is strictly over-14s only, but those between 14 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
