Sampha – one of the enigmatic figureheads of the burgeoning electro-soul genre – seems like he has been around for ages, so it was surprising to discover that his album release in February 2017 was his debut. But it shows in both the critical acclaim of this record, and the double-date booking of a venue like The Camden Roundhouse, that the Morden-born artist has both experience, and a fanbase far larger than his relatively sparse discography. This isn’t surprising though, considering his excellent and well-hyped collaborations with artists such as SBTRKT, Kanye West and Drake, prior to the release of “Process” early this year. You should expect a polished and atmospheric set of shows this month.
Tickets cost £28.75 (including booking fee), with doors at 7pm.
The gig is 14+, although those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
