They’ve long been described as the “quintessential critics band” and although being active since the early/mid-eighties, native New Jersey trio Yo La Tengo still maintain an unashamedly “cult” status.
With an encyclopaedic back-catalogue of classic garage rock, this is the kind of music so many young bands emerging today are emulating.
Just remember people, Yo La Tengo were here first. This is how a proper garage rock band should sound!
