Given Ms J’s trademark vocal gymnastics, quirky ticks and often hard-hitting approach, this latest single is probably the closest to ‘standard pop song’ she’s ever released. Not that this is a bad thing. Quite the opposite in fact. It’s refreshing to hear her go for a reserved delivery as she did with “Price Tag”. After all, hearing her belting out hits at the top of her range time after time can get a little boring no?
