The dark prince of goth rock played a show-stopping set at Download Festival in Donington Park on June 13. And almost immediately afterwards, announced he will be returning to the UK this November as part of his upcoming European tour.
The announcement comes in the wake of his ninth full-length album “The Pale Emperor”, which was released at the beginning of this year. The record has been the subject of some pretty favourable reviews, heralding a more mature, forward thinking direction for the stalwart king of alternative rock, rather than trying to rehash the shock-value of his colourful past. The run of dates have been dubbed the “Hell Not Hallelujah” tour and will see Manson being supported by L.A-based alt pop rockers Knee High Fox. Prior to his UK sojourn, Manson and his band will tour throughout the U.S with classic indie rock superstars Smashing Pumpkins. As disappointed as we are that they opted not to bring this line-up to Europe, we’re certain Marilyn’s UK leg will be nothing short of brilliant.
